Covid-19 has changed the way we live and we don’t really know for how long. It not only has impacted the way we live our daily lives and our routines but it has also forced us to re-imagine how to continue being close with those we love while at the same time staying safe. Because of this, we find it difficult to process and manage our emotions. Our lives as we knew them have been altered and our future has become unpredictable. You are not alone. We are currently living in unprecedented times where we find ourselves in the middle of a global crisis and, for the majority of us, experiencing something like this for the first time in our lifetime.
Perhaps you have considered seeking professional help but due to Covid and how it has impacted finances in many households you have decided to postpone it and put your needs on hold. But the good news is that you don’t have to do this anymore.

The group is open to up to 10 members, it will run for 10 weeks and the group will meet every other week for 2 hours. This group is part educational and part experiential. We will be addressing a different topic each week, there will be time for discussion, addressing any questions and/or concerns and, most important, time to practice a new tool. I will also provide you with educational handouts and other tools that you can keep and reference at a later time if you need to and when you need to.

I’ve teaching this group for quite some time now and I’ve heard from other members in the past that at the beginning when they joined they were skeptical and they were certain it was not going to help them. Well, to their surprise, they later shared with me how the practice changed their lives and even for some others it literally saved their lives.
Just like everything else in this world, there is no one shoe that fits all. However, the beauty of mindfulness meditation is that there are hundreds of different tools available so chances are that you will find, at the very least, one that will work for you. For instance, it can be as simple as focusing on your breath, the rising and falling of your belly, with intention and awareness. That’s it! Simple enough, right! We all already take breaths otherwise will be dead. The key here is doing it with attention and intention. That’s the only difference between normal breathing and mindful breathing.
