What Makes Me Different
Over the past 15 years, I have been on a relentless pursuit to find the best possible solutions to heal marriage problems
and mood disorders. I was humbled when I received distinguished honors by the California State Senate, United States Congress
and the County of Los Angeles for my work as a therapist.
I come from a long line of healthy marriages. My parents have been married over 55 years. Both sets of my grandparents were married "till
death do us part". My father had 12 siblings, and all but one had lifelong marriages. All my mom's siblings stayed married their entire lives.
How I Got Here
God did not give me an easy marriage, but today, I have a very good marriage. I can relate to difficult arguments, getting highly frustrated
with your spouse and being so frustrated that even the dreaded D-Word (divorce) entered my mind. However, I was determined to make my marriage
work and through a time and a lot of hard work, I now have a wonderful marriage. I really enjoy my marriage and I believe one of my
callings in life is to help marriages succeed.
The approach I use was heralded by both the New York Times and
Time Magazine as the "the couples therapy with the highest rate of success".
"We've communicated in 6 weeks (of counseling) what we couldn't in 6 years by ourselves."
I wrote my first "About Me" page about ten years ago when I first began my private practice. You can read it at
In a nutshell, I left my lucrative computer career to pursue more meaningful work. At the time, my life felt empty and unsatisfying and
I went thru some very difficult times. I have found my mission in life through my work as a therapist.
